In 2021, the country increased its annual oil exports by up to 51%, going from 4,685 million dollars in 2020 to 7,090 million between January and November 2021, which makes it the main export product essential for the local economy.<\/p><p>Atmospheric tanks are essential structures for the oil industry, since they are large storage containers in which oil and its derivatives are deposited once they have been processed, with the aim of later being transformed into a final product. This is the case of the water and crude oil storage tanks for phase I of the Tiputini Process Plant in block 43 of the Aguarico canton; designed, prefabricated, transported and built in the oil field by SEDEMI.<\/p><p>These structures of 27 meters in diameter and 15 meters high, are mega constructions that were prefabricated within SEDEMI&#8217;s own plant, based on ASTM A-36 steel and under high quality certification standards aligned to API 650. The project was delivered complete and operational in a total of 270 days, with an approximate cost of 10 million dollars. This construction was carried out in a consortium between SEDEMI and CONDUTO.<\/p><p>The tanks have all kinds of internal and external benefits necessary for the work in an oil field, such as access to the interior of the structure, a cleaning door, helical ladder to light up the tank, pipes and fire protection systems, perfectly designed to facilitate the work of employees.
