SEDEMI contributes to the safety and well-being of Cantón Rumiñahui´s community

In recent days, a recognition ceremony was made to thank SEDEMI and Constructores Positivos for working in the habilitation of bedrooms for 75 new members of the Cantón Rumiñahui Police. This project made together with the Rumiñahui Mayor’s Office, the National Police and private companies, represented a milestone in improving the security and well-being of the community.

In his speech, Rodrigo Puga, Director of Public Works of the Municipality, expressed his feeling of gratitude for the great work done, confirming that the new police personnel who join the service of the canton, have an appropriate and dignified place for their temporary residence. “I want to publicly thank SEDEMI, led by Esteban Proaño, who demonstrated that private companies can work together with the municipality to achieve development”.

Esteban Proaño, Executive President of the SEDEMI Corporate Group, stated that one of the greatest virtues that human beings have is cooperation, through which large projects can be done. He congratulated the Mayor Fabián Iza for the vision of working hard for the benefit of the community. On the other hand, Mr. Gandhi Burbano, Executive Director of Constructores Positivos mentioned: “Public-private partnerships work. There is no need to sign an agreement. This rehabilitation has been done in less than a month and with great success”.

Finally, Fabián Iza delivered the recognition plaque to SEDEMI and Constructores Positivos, emphasizing that the place where the bedrooms were set up was abandoned until recently. “Thanks to SEDEMI and Constructores Positivos, we have turned it into a vital space, for citizen security. Today we want to recognize and express our gratitude for the work that you have done”.

To close this ceremony, the authorities toured the rehabilitated facilities and learned about all the work that has been carried the last weeks.
